Short Information

Green Party Eco exist from September 30th 2001 as Ecological/Green political organization based on values of Green Party (YU - SCG) tradition (founded 1990.), on ecological activities and on work for social-ecological emancipation of society. In the year 2005, Green Party Eco and Green Party was united, and became one party - Green Party.

Green Party has 1200 members (Septembar 20th 2008).

Green Party characteristics in form of explanation of basic goals:
Establishment of the systematic, continuo protection of the environment - on the highest level possible, according to the possibilities by the political engagement based on the democratic grounds.

Healing the society and providing its stabile development based on the social-ecological criteria of regulation.

Ecological education of the population and all other way’s of awakening their ecological conscience.

The freedom of thoughts and free flow of information, in order to overcome the problems created by political manipulations, anti democratic acts and any other kind of social violence.

Pleading for the principles of solidarity, tolerance, and cooperation, between different social groups. Respect of the human rights.

Economy that will in future grow on the principles of sustainable development of technology of using the alternative energy resources (sun, wind, biogas...). - Rational use of existing energetic and other resources. - Recycling... - Development of bio-agriculture, bio-architecture, eco-tourism, preventive medicine... - Ban on building Nuclear Plants and Genetic engineering.

International cooperation while solving Global and regional problems.
